Editor’s Note: Natikari Rancho Verde did not compensate us to write about them. All opinions are our own. At Sayulita Insider, we make sure that we only publish articles about products and brands that we believe in – Natikari is one of them.
Love your blog, guys! We are two solo female travelers currently in Sayulita and we are looking for jungle hike tours. We do not know the layout quite yet so we figured to ask some local advice from you guys. What hikes do you recommend? Thank you for your content! It is really helpful!

As impossible as it seems, it does tend to happen every once in a while! Believe me, I was born by the ocean!
Luckily for you, there are plenty of alternative activities and things to do in Sayulita other than going to the beach and a jungle adventure is the best one for getting you back into shape after days of being a beach bum.
Are you ready for reading all about the wonders of Natikari Rancho Verde? Here we go!
What is Natikari Rancho Verde?
Natikari Rancho Verde is both a hiking tour company and an Airbnb located in the jungle of Sayulita. They provide a vast variety of services aimed at making each visitor’s experience a very unique one.

The company is a very ethical one that follows the mantra of “take only pictures, leave only footprints” which is why I highly recommend them for your next visit to Sayulita. They also sell a vast assortment of goods such as cafe de capomo, potted plants and mango jam.
Hiking with Natikari Rancho Verde: The Full Itinerary
We started the day by having a very delicious breakfast at Organi-K. Nothing like a poke bowl of wonders to start a very sweaty day in Sayulita’s jungle.
Afterward, the staff of Narikiri Rancho Verde picked us up in a van and our adventure began! Surprisingly, we only had to drive about 15 minutes to reach the start of the trail and from there the Rancho Verde itself was just 10 minutes away by foot.

It is here at Rancho Verde where you can relax and get ready for the jungle hike which starts and ends right here. It is a completely circular trek with a very mild difficulty that people of all ages should be able to finish.
The trek itself lasts about 2 hours even though in KM you won’t be hiking more than 3. The reason for this is because your guide will make many stops explaining the diverse flora and fauna that you will find in the jungle of Sayulita.
Some of the animals you’ll most likely find include all sorts of lizards, different species of butterflies, harmless yet scary spiders, and plenty of loud birds such as parrots. Always be on the lookout to avoid stepping on them, my wonder friends!!!

No signal in Natikari – a chance to unplug!
Don’t stray from the group since it is quite easy to get lost in the Sayulita Jungle and most cell phone companies do not have a signal there (you can imagine our collective nightmare as all of us were desperate to upload our trek photos ASAP).
After trekking in the jungle you will then return to Natikari Rancho Verde where you can relax at the hammock and enjoy some fresh fruits such as mango, papaya and melon.
Definitely try the cafe capomo (an interesting beverage known commonly as the anti-coffee) and the agua de jamaica (hibiscus water) which are some really interesting traditional Mexican beverages.

Our donkey companion for the whole hike!
Finally, don’t forget to take a donkey selfie before starting to head home. What an unforgettable adventure of wonders it was!
PS. Please do bear in mind that even though the donkey will come with you to the expedition, riding it is explicitly forbidden. Animals are your friends, not your rides.
What to bring for your Natikari Rancho Verde hike
Mosquito repellent is a must and so is bringing comfortable shoes since you’ll be doing a lot of uphill and downhill hiking in uneven terrain.
You certainly do not need professional hiking shoes, just bring a pair of sneakers and you’ll be set. Definitely avoid bringing sandals or high heels like my friend Olga did.
Other than that, consider bringing some water to keep you hydrated as well as some snacks, although you probably won’t need them since Natikari Rancho Verde will provide you with tons of fresh fruit and refreshments at the end of the hike.
